"Boring" or "Bored"- 현재 분사나 과거 분사 이제 혼동에서 탈출!!

아직도 많은 학생들이 단어가 ~ing로 끝나는 경우와 ~ed로 끝나는 감정을 나타내는 형용사 중 어느 것을 사용해야 하는지 헷갈려하는 학생들이 많은데 오늘 확실히 이해될 수 있도록 설명해 드릴게요.

 

1. (감정을 나타내는) 현재 분사와 과거 분사의 형태 와 뜻

형용사의 역할

 

명사나 대명사를 꾸민다.

 

 Be 동사 뒤에 나와 주어의 상태를 설명

 

" ~ㄴ" 으로 해석됨

현재 분사	~ing	주어가 감정의 원인일때	My job is boring. 내 직업은 단조로워. ( 주어인 "My job"이 심심한 감정을 일으키는 원인임) Nicky is interesting. 니키는 흥미로운 사람이야. (주어인 "Nicky"가 흥미로운 감정을 일으키는 원인임)
과거 분사	~ed	주어의감정의 상태를 보여줄 때	I am bored. 나 심심해. (주어인"I"의 감정의 상태가 심심함) I am interested in buying a new car. 나 새 차를 구입에 관심이(흥미가) 있어. (주어인 "I"의 감정 상태가  관심(흥미)가 있는 상태)

 

 

 

2. "감정"을 나타내는 형용사 종류

주어가 감정의 원인이 되면 - ~ing

Tiring Tired	피곤한,힘든	The long hike was very tiring. 긴 등산은 피곤하다. I feel tired after staying up late. 일찍일어나서 피곤함을 느꼈다.
Depressing Depressed	우울한	The rainy weather is depressing. 비오는 날씨는 우울해. He felt depressed after the bad news. 그는 나쁜 소식을 들은 후 우울해 했다.
Disappointing Disappointed	실망스러운	The movie was disappointing. 그 영화는 실망이였어. She was disappointed with her test score. 그녀의 시험 결과에 실망감을 느꼈어.
Humiliating Humiliated	모욕적인, 망신스러운	Forgetting my stage lines was humiliating. 대사를 잊어버리는 것은 망신스러워. He felt humiliated when he tripped in front of everyone. 모든사람 앞에서 넘어져서 그는 망신스러운 감정을 느꼈어.
Overwhelming Overwhelmed	압도적인,너무 벅찬	The amount of homework is overwhelming. 숙제의 양은 너무 벅차. She felt overwhelmed by the support from her friends.  그녀는 친구들의 응원에 너무 벅찬 감정을 느꼈어.
Amusing Amused	즐거운, 재미있는	My son's dancing is amusing. 내 아들의 댄스는 즐거워. Tim was amused by his girlfriend's joke. 팀은 그의 여자 친구의 농담에 즐거움을 느꼈어.
Terrifying Terrified	무서운, 두려운	The thought of touching spiders is terrifying. 거미를 만지는 생각은 무서워 She was terrified of spiders. 그녀는 거미를 두려워 해.(두려운 감정을 느껴.)
Satisfying Satisfied	만족스러운	Finishing a good book is satisfying. 좋은 책을 다 읽는것은 만족스러운 일이야. He felt satisfied with his meal. 그는 그의 식사에 만족스러움을 느꼈어.
Confusing Confused	헷갈리는, 혼란스러운	The instructions were confusing. 그 안내서는 헷갈려. I was confused by the puzzle. 나는 퍼즐에 헷갈리는 감정을 느꼈어.
Disgusting Disgusted	더러운, 역겨운	The rotten food is disgusting. 썩은 음식은 역거워. She was disgusted by the dirty room. 그녀는 더러운 방에 역겨움을 느꼈어.
Shocking Shocked	쇼킹한	Their wedding news was shocking. 그들의 결혼 소식은 쇼킹이였어. He was shocked by the surprise party. 깜작 파티에 그는 놀랬어.
Frustrating Frustrated	답답한, 화가난	The broken computer is frustrating. 고장난 컴퓨터는 화가 나는 일이야. She felt frustrated with the slow internet. 느린 인터넷 속도에 그녀는 답답한 감정을 느꼈어.
Embarrassing Embarrassed	당혹스러운, 난처한	It is embarrassing to get told off in front of my friends. 친구들 앞에서 혼나는 것은 당혹스러워. He felt embarrassed when he forgot his friend's name. 그는 그의 친구의 이름을 잊어버려 당혹함을 느꼈어.
